RLAG is selected out of hundreds of applications for American Music Abroad’s 2023 Tour Season!!!

Rhyme Like a Girl (RLAG) is a collective of women MCs whose commitment to artistry, community, and global travel grew out of Toni Blackman’s vision to transform Hip Hop and use it to make our world a better place. RLAG is an extension of the Freestyle Union, her groundbreaking Echoing Green Fellowship project, and puts the spotlight on the voices of women and girls. A serial social entrepreneur, RLAG was nurtured through a seed money fellowship Toni was awarded from Open Society Institute (OSI).

Lyrical Meditation Cypher

Lyrical Meditation Cypher Podcast began as a creative support group on the Clubhouse app during the height of the pandemic. The podcast launches later this year. LMC Podcasts periodically hosts vibe sessions open to the public.

FREESTYLE UNION

Created by Toni in the 90s, the Freestyle Union Cypher Workshop served as a training ground for dope MC in the Washington, DC area. Freestyle Union involved into a talented collective of performers as Toni carved out a permanent space in DC Hip Hop history.
